—————

Maile Meloy, author of the acclaimed Both Ways Is the Only Way I Want It, has a new book coming out in October. The Apothecary is Meloy’s first novel for young readers. In the novel, two young friends must use a book of magic potions to save the world from Russian spies armed with nuclear weapons (it’s set in 1952 after all). Sounds to me like Harry Potter meets Ian Fleming; what’s not to like? And judging by the book trailer, it’s going to magical.
