Addie Leak is an editor and literary translator primarily from Arabic and French into English. She has edited over twenty novels and most recently translated Mariam, It’s Arwa by Areej Gamal (AUC Press, 2026), and the 2024 winner of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction, A Mask the Color of the Sky by Bassem Khandaqji (Europa, 2026). She is currently acting as a judge for the National Translation Award in Prose and lives between Amman, Jordan, and rural Mississippi.
