 Ali Benjamin has written fiction and non-fiction for both youth and adults. Her most recent work is The Smash-Up, a retelling of an Edith Wharton novella set during the week of the Kavanaugh hearings. The Thing About Jellyfish was an international bestseller and finalist for the National Book Award. She is currently at work on two projects: historical fiction set in the early modern era, and the memoir of Katalin Karikó, the molecular biologist whose research on mRNA became the basis of the COVID-19 vaccines. She lives in Massachusetts.
