Billy Chew is an author and screenwriter who lives in Highland Park, Los Angeles with his wife Nilou and their two cats, Wally and Moosh. After attending Emerson College for both Literature and Film Studies, he began his motion picture career working in documentary at the Center for Public Television & Radio out of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. His feature-length screenplay for The Death of Dick Long was directed by Daniel Scheinert (Everything Everywhere All At Once) and was distributed by A24 in 2019. It has since garnered a modest cult following.
