Daniel Turtel is the author of the novels The Family Morfawitz (2023) and Greetings from Asbury Park (2022), winner of the Faulkner Society Award for Best Novel. His writing has been published in The Brooklyn Rail, The Baltimore Review, The Jerusalem Post, and LitHub, among others, and works of his have been selected as finalists for the James Jones First Novel Fellowship and the Leapfrog Fiction Prize. He holds a degree in mathematics from Duke University, and an MFA from The New School. Daniel lives in New York City.
