Emily Wortman-Wunder is the author of Not a Thing to Comfort You (2019), winner of the Iowa Short Fiction Award and the Colorado Book Award. Her essays have appeared in the Colorado Review, Guernica, Creative Nonfiction, and been recognized by Best American Essays, and her stories have twice been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She teaches scientific writing and environmental writing at the University of Colorado Denver.
