Jalen Giovanni Jones

Jalen Giovanni Jones is a Black and Filipino writer from Los Angeles, and is Electric Literature’s Social Media Editor. His work has been supported by the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, the Tin House Workshop, the Lambda Literary Retreat, and the Kenyon Review Adult Writers Workshop. A winner of the David Madden MFA Award, Jalen’s writing can be found or is forthcoming in Callaloo, Foglifter, The Offing, and elsewhere. He is the Editorial Assistant for The Southern Review, an MFA candidate in Louisiana State University’s Creative Writing Program, and is working on a short story collection and a novel.
