Jennifer Haigh is the author of the short story collection News From Heaven and seven bestselling, critically acclaimed novels. Her first, Mrs. Kimble, won the PEN/Hemingway Award for debut fiction. Her most recent, Mercy Street, won the 2023 Mark Twain American Voice in Literature Award. Her short stories have been published widely, in The Atlantic, Granta, The Best American Short Stories, and many other places. Haigh’s work has been recognized by the Guggenheim Foundation, The James S. Michener Foundation, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and has been published in eighteen languages. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, she lives and writes in Boston. Her new novel, Rabbit Moon, was published in April 2025.
