Kate Martin Rowe’s nonfiction and poems have appeared in Fourth Genre, Mutha Magazine, Michigan Quarterly Review, Hypertext Review, Brevity, Zyzzyva, The Denver Quarterly and The Beloit Poetry Journal, among others. Two of her essays have been finalists for a Writing Fellowship at A Public Space, and her poetry manuscript Avowed was a semifinalist for the Pamet River Prize from YesYes Books in 2024. She teaches writing at Glendale Community College and lives in northeast Los Angeles with her family.
