Kiese Laymon

Kiese Laymon is southern Black writer from Jackson, Mississippi. Laymon is the Moody Professor of English and Creative Writing at Rice University. He is the author of a memoir, a book of essays, a novel, a picture book, and Good God, which will be released in 2026.
