Mary O’Donoghue

Mary O’Donoghue grew up in Co. Clare and has lived in the United States for over two decades, both northeast and southeast. Her book of short stories, The Hour After Happy Hour, was published by Stinging Fly Press in 2023. The stories reach into the wounds of immigration, transit, and exile, staging modern, surreal dilemmas of rootlessness and failed returns. Mary’s short fiction has appeared in Subtropics, Granta, Banshee, Dublin Review, Kenyon Review, The Common, Georgia Review, and elsewhere.
