Valentine Sargent was born in Arizona where she was surrounded by mountains, saguaros, and citrus trees. She currently lives in New York City. She has an MFA from Chatham University in Pittsburgh where she received The Fourth River Editorial Fellowship. Her prose has been published in New Delta Review, Porter House Review, Hex Literary, and elsewhere.
