Winshen Liu is from Illinois. Her poems have appeared in BRINK, Cincinnati Review, Poetry Ireland Review, and The Rumpus, among others. She was shortlisted for the 2023 Alpine Fellowship in Poetry and was a finalist for RHINO’s Founders’ Prize. In 2024, she received a Courage to Write grant from the de Groot Foundation and was awarded the Bondurant Prize in poetry at the University of Mississippi, where she is currently an MFA candidate.
