Yu-Mei Balasingamchow is the author of Names Have Been Changed, which will be published by Tiny Reparations Books in 2026. Her short fiction has received a Pushcart Prize Special Mention and won the Mississippi Review Fiction Prize. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from Boston University and has received grants and fellowships from the Elizabeth George Foundation and Sewanee Writers Conference, among others. Originally from Singapore, she lives in Boston.
