At Electric Lit, we’ve designed our membership program to make the submissions process more streamlined, encouraging, and personal. Our literary magazines and website feature award-winning, internationally-recognized writers alongside fresh new voices, and much of that work comes from unsolicited submissions. While nonmembers must wait for our regular open submission periods, which occur only a few times per year, members can submit their short stories, essays, poetry, flash, graphic, and experimental narratives for our consideration 365 days a year. Member submissions receive a personalized note from our editors within 3 months, as opposed to an estimated 6 to 8 month response time for open submissions. Members also receive discounts off all merchandise in our store, invitations to online and in-person events, and other exclusive offers and perks throughout the year.
