In the seventeen years since EL was founded, it has remained committed to publishing writers from all backgrounds at a time when many communities are under attack. As successful as Electric Literature has been, there is more work to be done. As incoming Executive Director and Publisher, Denne Michele Norris plans to grow EL’s reach and influence by every measure, while maintaining its sharp, independent spirit.
As she embarks on building EL’s future, we must raise $35,000 to fund our next chapter. Electric Lit has always been innovative, and will continue to push literature—and the publishing industry—forward.
