Amanda Montei received her Ph.D. from SUNY at Buffalo and her MFA from CalArts. She is the author of the memoir Two Memoirs (Jaded Ibis Press) and the chapbook The Failure Age (Bloof Books). Her writing and criticism has appeared at Vox, Huffpost, The Believer, Ms. Magazine, Harriet, and Salon. She was previously editor of the literary journal P-QUEUE. She has been teaching for over a decade at the college level, in community arts programs, and at literary organizations like Catapult, Corporeal Writing, and Hugo House. She runs the newsletter Mad Moms and is completing her next book, a memoir about motherhood and consent.
