This is An Pham’s first published short story. He grew up in a small village in Vietnam near a major air force base, and has recently begun writing down his childhood memories during the Vietnam War. He came to the U.S. as a refugee at 17 and studied sculpture at Pratt and Computer Science at Brooklyn College. He has lived in NYC for forty years where he works as a carpenter and a sculptor. He survives his wife and has two children.
