Andrew Ridker is the author of the novels The Altruists, which was translated into more than a dozen languages, and Hope, which was named a Best Book of the Year by the New Yorker, the Boston Globe, and the Forward. It is currently in development with A24 Films. His third novel, Power & Light, is forthcoming from Viking/Penguin. His writing has appeared in New York Magazine, Le Monde, and the New York Times Magazine, among other publications. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, he is the founder of the Prospect Writers’ Workshop, a creative writing program for working people.
