Anne Emond is a Brooklyn-based writer, illustrator, and comics artist. She graduated in 2010 with an MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts. For the past four years she has drawn a semi-autobiographical web comic called Comiques, for which she was awarded a gold medal in 2014 from the Society of Illustrators. Her illustrations have appeared in The New York Times, Time Out New York, and The Oyster Review. Her first full-length comic book, Debbie’s Inferno, was published by the small comics press Retrofit in September 2014. She is currently working on an illustrated children’s novel about a ghost and a girl detective.
