Colleen Morrissey, Ph.D., is an author, educator, and scholar of humanities. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska and now teaches English at the University of Kansas. A writer of prose, poetry, and criticism, she was awarded an O. Henry Prize in 2014 and has been a Best American Short Stories Notable. Her work can be found in The Southern Review,Studies in the Novel, The Chicago Reader, Alaska Quarterly Review, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. She is at work on her debut novel.
