James Kimbrell’s poems have appeared in Poetry, The Nation, and Ploughshares, and in anthologies including Best American Poetry and the Pushcart Prize Anthology. The recipient of a Ruth Lilly Fellowship, Whiting Writers Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and two fellowships from the NEA, his most recent collection is Smote (2015, Sarabande). He teaches at Florida State University.
