Jessamyn Violet

Jessamyn Violet is an author and musician out of Venice Beach, CA. Originally from Massachusetts, she graduated with a BFA in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College. She went on to earn an MFA in Creative Writing from California College of the Arts. Her debut novel Secret Rules to Being a Rockstar was published in April 2023. Her sophomore novel Venice Peach is out through Maudlin House, June 10th, 2025. Her short fiction has been featured in Ploughshares, Lit Angels, 805 Art + Lit, and more.
