Laura Furman

Laura Furman is a writer and editor living in Austin, Texas. Her most recent book is The Mother Who Stayed. From 2003-19, she was Series Editor of The O. Henry Prize Stories. She is now working on a documentary directed by Nancy Schiesari on women’s suffrage in Texas.
