Michael Backus

Michael Backus’ writing, fiction and non-fiction, has appeared in One Story, Exquisite Corpse, Prime Number Magazine, Hanging Loose, The Writer, and The Sycamore Review, among others. Xynobooks published his novel Double in early 2012 and he’s currently shopping a book-length memoir about working in the New York meatpacking district of the early 1980s. He teaches creative writing for Gotham Writer’s Workshop and Zoetrope Magazine and lives in Albuquerque, NM.
