Nicole Zhao is a Chinese American writer from Queens, now based in Brooklyn. Her writing has been published in Roxane Gay’s The Audacity, Apogee Journal, and Witness. An alum of VONA/Voices Summer Workshop and the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, she enjoys writing fiction and essays that explore themes like Asian American positionality and complicity, complicated relationships, and how real and imagined technologies might impact immigrant and diasporic communities.
