Yvvette Edwards is a British East Londoner of Montserratian origin, and the author of two novels—A Cupboard Full of Coats(Amistad, 2011) and The Mother(Amistad, 2016). Yvvette’s work has been a finalist for many literary awards in the UK and USA, including NAACP Image Awards, the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, the Man Booker Prize (shortlisted), the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and the Hurston-Wright Legacy Award.
