Bee Sacks (they/them) is a queer writer. Their debut novel, City of a Thousand Gates (HarperCollins), was awarded the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize for fiction in 2022. Their second novel, The Lover (HarperCollins) was listed as a favorite book of 2023 by Elle magazine. A former journalist, Bee previously worked at Vanity Fair before moving to Israel-Palestine to study sacred Jewish texts. They now live in Los Angeles with their dog, Pupik.
