Jan Edwards Hemming holds an MFA from NYU and a BA from LSU, and her poetry and essays have appeared in McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Los Angeles Review of Books Blog, The Ilanot Review, FruitSlice, and elsewhere. Her poems “Bird” and “Oven” were each nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and she has been awarded residencies from Virginia Center for Creative Arts and Vermont Studio Center. She lives and works in New Orleans.
