Leila C. Nadir

Leila C. Nadir is an Afghan-American writer, artist, and editor at Los Angeles Review of Books. Her interdisciplinary work appears in scholarly and literary journals, in museums and galleries, and in forests, classrooms, and kitchens, and has received awards and fellowships from MacDowell, NYFA, de Groot Foundation, Mellon Foundation, Hedgebrook, Art Omi, Bread Loaf, and Maine Arts Commission. Her writing has appeared in Salon, Michigan Quarterly Review, Shenandoah, Khôra, Black Warrior Review, North American Review, Asian American Literary Review, Aster(ix), and other places. She teaches and lectures nationwide and holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Columbia University.
