Leo D. Martinez (she/her & they/them) is a Black Dominican-American and trans femme writer and artist from Harlem, New York, who now resides in Atlanta, GA. A Periplus fellow, she has been published in Plantin Magazine and the forthcoming ¡Pájaros, lesbianas y queers, a volar! anthology. Their writings explore the intersections, disconnections, and parallels of gender fluidity, nationalism, race, and Afro-syncretic spiritualities. She is on a pilgrimage to connect with her inner voice, spirit guides, and the queer community across the Black Diaspora. You can follow them on Instagram @leotheecreator.
